Personal Bests are just the BEGINNING!!!!

While fielding one of our smallest & by far our youngest fall team ever and competing in our most aggressive fall schedule.  We are pleased to report we medaled in all 3 regatta's we entered.  see results below.

The schedule pitted our young team against some the largest AAAA schools in the Midwest region, with many events posting 25- 35 entries. We competed against & beat the likes of Oakland & Central Catholic, Notre Dame Academy, St. Ignatius, Allerdice, Fox Chapel, Upper St. Clair, North Allegheny, Mt. Lebanon, New Tier, Upper Arlington and many more. The experience gained in these races position us to be a highly competitive and exciting team to watch this Spring. 09 schedule to be posted soon.

I want to say thanks to the parents organization for another tremendous effort in supporting our team. I would like to welcome Jennifer McDonald NC 04 to our fine coaching staff. To my staff, Nate, JP & Jen thank you so much for everything you do, you have no idea how important you are to me & this program. To the kid's and our captain's GREAT JOB! WE are extremely proud of your effort & commitment to the continuing excellence of North Catholic Crew.

HOTO: Silver: Lottie Mcallice; Bronze: Boys varsity 4

Columbus Fall Classic: Gold: Boys Novice 4; Bronze Women's youth single

Speakmon Regatta: Bronze: Boys Novice 4

Suggested Workouts: Fan settings @ 4

1. 2 x 20 min @ 22 spm w/ 6 min rest

2. 10 x 2 min. w/45 sec. rest interval vary monitor settings & spm not to exceed 28 spm

3. 6k + 1k w/ 6 min rest @ 22 spm

4. 3 x 2k w. 5 min rest @ 24-26 spm

5. 5 x 1k w 3 min rest @ 23-25 spm

6. 45 min. @ 22 spm

7. 2 x 5K w/ 6min. rest @ 22-24 spm

    If you didn't do your 2k for time please do so b-4 starting these workouts. Also, I want you to email me on a weekly basis your scores.  You are required to do a minimum of 2 workouts a week along w/ your core training. Coach Sands

***Directions to Millvalle Boathouse: Take rt. 28 to Millville exit. Go to Stop Sign @ Grant st. make left. Go straight 50 yards & head for train tracks. Don’t go back on rt. 28 either way.  Head under overpass cross RR tracks make right. Millvalle Boathouse 200 yds. Straight ahead.***

Team travels to Augusta GA.  spring break 4th yr. in row. Team fueled by Fat Man's Cafe. Trip complete Success!!
